Communications Director

Lisa is a strategic communications professionaland passionate about digital rights; she leads our communication strategy and content design.  She is also the founder of Refresh Initiative.

Ruth Daniel

 Research Co- Director

Based in Addis Ababa, Ruth is a Psychology graduate currently pursuing my Master of Social Science in Psychology by dissertation, and has a strong passion for community engagement, mental health advocacy, and supporting vulnerable groups.

She helps translate research into child and youth-friendly learning materials and supports PCF’s evidence work and co-develops concise research briefs and learning content briefs based on our focus areas.

Deborah Moraski Nabukalu

 Projects  Director 

Based in Uganda, Debbie is a Projects Coordinator and social impact professional, committed to delivering structured, sustainable community programs. With a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, she brings strong experience in project planning, financial oversight, and stakeholder coordination. She is passionate about empowerment, resilience, and building systems that

enable individuals and communities to rise and thrive.

Dr Jalene Gedefa

Research Director

Based in Addis Ababa, Dr. Jalene Gedefa is a medical doctor and passionate advocate for community health and youth empowerment. She has extensive experience working with NGOs, grassroots initiatives, and national organisations on projects that address pressing public health issues, particularly in underserved and rural communities. In her current role as Research Director with us, she is committed to advancing evidence-based approaches that address the health challenges facing children and youth. Her vision is to bridge the gap between research and community needs, ensuring that every child has the opportunity to grow up healthy, empowered, and with access to quality care.

Darren Namatovu

Founder and Director of Programs

She oversees all foundation operations, ensuring the implementation of impactful programs and sustainable growth strategies. Darren has extensive experience in child development and advocacy spanning her almost decade of social impact work, community building and transformation. She is an early childhood educator. Darren’s heart is where all children in Africa are. She loves spending time and doing fun things with children.

Manaal Amer

Learning Content & Research Intern

Based in Pakistan, she is a motivated high school student with leadership experience in journalism, Model UN, and civic engagement, seeking an internship opportunity to apply public speaking, research, and communication skills. Committed to social impact and community-driven initiatives. As Learning Content Director and Research Assistant. She is assisting in creating learning materials and supporting our research and content projects on a 6-month volunteer arrangement.

Norah Lovisah Odoi

Community Volunteer

Norah has a Dip. in Mass Communication and Journalism, videography & photography. She is an Environmental advocate with skills in audio transcription and communications. At PCF, she has been cultivating and coordinating our volunteer community since joining us in 2023. She enjoys playing with children in the field.

Sabela Alemayehu

Research Intern

Sabela is a fourth-year Sociology student at Addis Ababa University, passionate about understanding society and how we interact. She is also a teacher of English through Preply. During her internship and volunteer time at PCF, she will support our new programming and fun activities to complement our aspiration to nurture care systems.

Lillian Nangobi

Volunteer

Based in Mukono District, our primary implementing area, Lillian supports our work as a community builder and dedicated volunteer. She loves children and working with them.
